All e-mail forwarded in the method described below will appear to be from your Otis webmail account once it reaches the final destination rather than from the original sender. Also, FW: will be appended to the original subject line.

1. You must use Internet Explorer on a PC running Windows.

The Rules options only appears under these circumstances. To read, organize, and manually forward your e-mail, you can use other browsers, including Mozilla Firefox, and other operating systems, including Mac OS X.


PCs are available in the Student Resource Center, the kiosk in Financial Aid, and in some computer labs.
During the first few weeks of the semester, kiosks will also be available in the
Library.

2. Log in with the Client option set for Premium.

3. Click on the RULES button in the Button Bar menu in the lower left corner.

The button turns yellow when you click on it.

If the submenu above does not appear, you must expand it by clicking on the "Enlarge Button Bar/Shrink Button Bar" icon:

4. Create a new rule by clicking on the New.. button in the Rules menu.
When you click on this button, a new window (Edit Rule: Outlook Web Access -- Webpage Dialog) will pop up.
 
 
5. Fill in the details.

Name the rule. Even though it is optional, we strongly recommend that you give the rule a name, such as "Forward My Webmail."
Click on the Forward it to radio button and enter a valid e-mail address.
Keep the box checked for Keep a copy in my Inbox.

6. Finish by clicking on the Save and Close button.

From this point forward, any e-mail sent to your Otis address will be forwarded to the new address.

 
 
I am using a new e-mail address. How do I change my Otis forwarding?

Follow the directions #1-3. Do not follow #4.
A list of all of your Rules will appear in the main box. Highlight the rule's name (e.g. Forward My Email). Then click on the Change Rule... button. The same dialog box will appear as in #5 above. Change the e-mail address in the Forward it to box. Finally, save and close the window.
