Educational and Career Advising at Otis is a sequential advisement process that engages students in a reflective consideration of their own fundamental educational and life/career issues.  Educational and Career Advising is intended to:

• help students be successful with their transition into college
• help students identify and achieve their own educational goals
• help students identify and prepare for broader life/career goals

Students start the advising in the first semester of Foundation year, and meet with an advisor once each semester until they graduate.  Transfer students begin the advising during the semester they enter the College, and also meet with an advisor once each semester. Advising is sequential and is organized around a set of topics in each semester that build upon issues addressed during advising in previous semesters.
